LC 509A Beginning to Intermediate Capoeira

Students will learn and improve the typical and basic capoeira movements. Students will also learn how to play drums and other typical capoeira instruments like berimbau and tambourine along with capoeira songs. Finally students participate in the 'Roda' which is where two people play capoeira music in the middle of a circle. Capoeira helps to develop your reflexes, increase self-confidence in your self and encourage team building participation At the end of the 10 capoeira classes Student should be able to do: - Basic capoeira moves: "Ginga, AU, Rolle", etc. - The basic capoeira defense and attack movements - Able to play at least one capoeira instrument (drum, Barimbau, Tambourine).
