DC 222A Bollywood/Classical Indian Dance

Students will learn the basic moves of both Bollywood and Classical Indian dancing by exploring the classical dance styles and techniques of India. Students will also discuss the relationship of Classical Indian dance to that of Bollywood dancing, while applying that knowledge to songs from famous soundtracks (like that of Slumdog Millionaire). Please come to class in clothes that will allow for movement. More specific information about appropriate dance attire will be given on the first day of class.
